Your day with AFF
Wheelchair-adapted WASUP
Experience the water on an adapted stand-up paddleboard with an experienced lead paddler and volunteer team. A friend or family member can join you on the front. AFF provides wheelchairs; most personal chairs can be accommodated within the board’s limits. Contact AFF about your support needs.
Paddle with a Buddy
Learn the basics on a traditional soft-top paddleboard with coaching and a volunteer buddy. Sit, kneel or stand—whatever feels right for your comfort, mobility and experience.
A welcoming day on the water
AFF welcomes people who may benefit from adaptive equipment, physical support or extra confidence getting on the water. Trained volunteers guide you from check-in to your paddling team. Five 45-minute sessions begin at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Scheduled sessions are limited to 25 paddlers in total.
Before you arrive
Arrive 15 minutes before your session. Waivers are completed in person on paper at check-in. AFF provides paddle equipment, life jackets, safety gear, water, sunscreen and lunch. Bring a towel, clothes you can get wet and your preferred sun protection. Parking is not included; fees may apply.
Reservation fee and changes
A $25 fee holds your spot. Choose during registration to donate it to AFF or request a refund after the event. To cancel and request a refund, call Amy at 714-465-6001 at least 48 hours before your session. Weather, water conditions or volunteer availability may change event details.
Waitlist and optional merchandise
Day-of waitlist tickets are separate from scheduled paddle reservations and do not guarantee a spot. If AFF cannot get you on the water, the waitlist fee will be refunded. Optional merchandise does not reserve a paddle session. Questions? Contact AFF before registering.
